And, just for fun, I thought I'd include a few more items that are WAY harder to find than this Spirit Section...

Wow! A 16-page comic section! I wonder whether it was stapled at the spine like a real comic mag?

???

Loose pages, but sometimes you'll find some glue at the spine, too.  That one must have been in some sort of binder, a classic cover :x

I'm curious whether that awesome mask came inserted in a paper, too, or how it was distributed, neat-o!

The content of these comics were all reprints of the syndicated Spirit stories that were the first eight pages of each Sunday insert section.

They included some of the finest stories produced in the GA.  Luckily, for us they are available in reprints.

In addition to the pulps do you collect the men's sweat magazines such as these from my collection?

Actually, I have very few of these. Just don’t run into them much out here.

Distributed by news dealers I assume. Too big for a paper insert and made of light chip board. Only seen a couple others and the only one I ever had the opportunity to buy.

Hit up the yearly LA Paperback show today. Always look forward to it. Can’t think of any other show quite like it.

Good to see boardies @Hap Hazard, @Dreamtoreal1 and another member I can’t remember. :sorry: I didn’t see @Surfing Alien but I have never met him. He was probably as “junk drunk”as I was :roflmao:

Quite a room full.

Oh, some killer digests there :x

I especially like Country Girl. The George Gross lover boy with the s*** eating grin and hay straw sticking out of his mouth is hilarious.

I hadn't seen the Dream Club before.  There's a lot going on (art on every inch of the cover), but it's way cool.

And that Film Fun!! :golfclap:
