Omnibus, Absolute, Deluxe, and HC Thread 19 19

Those instocktrade deals are great. I paid full price for KULL about 2 weeks before....

That being said amazon has 2 for 3 right now, and includes many good titles, like the latest FF4 can be had for $43. I'm jealous.

Such great sales. I learned of IST from here some time ago and placed an order this weekend. I didn't know about the Amazon sale, so I just popped in and grabbed 6 books for a great price. Thanks for the tips!

Well, for some reason I had to sell my CGC collection. Since then, however, prices for many keys have risen dramatically and continue to rise. Therefore, to wait out this period (and I hope that such a strong increase in prices will end someday), I decided to return to collecting omnibus and absolute. And here are the first books that managed to come to me:

Scott’s SS is such a fun read. I’ve been looking for a not so overpriced copy for ages.

Yes, excellent reading, I recently read it myself. I was lucky, and considering that in my country the prices for this book started at $ 150, I managed to get it for just 85. That's at the pre-order price, hehe. True, the book is just a little shabby.

Preordered Jason Aaron Thor omni.  Was just thinking to myself 'why isn't there an HC omnibus of this.'  Looked at the 2022 preorders and there it was in March.  Next up: Immortal Hulk.

I certainly can, but it will probably be a while. I recently read the Gary Gygax GN about the founding of TSR. I've always liked D&D, but I haven't played since 2nd Edition. I recently bought a 5th Edition Player's Handbook, started to read it, and created my character on D & D Beyond, but there's just not enough time to play. But that GN inspired me to buy the Art of D&D hardcover (incredible artwork and great memories), Little Wars by HG Wells (which helped inspire Gary Gygax), and Dangerous Games. They'll all get read eventually.

Hope everyone had a happy holiday season, and happy new year to ya as well!

Here's this year's complete Christmas Comic Haul. This represents the combined generosity of my wife, my folks, and my inlaws, so I'll have no shortage of reading material anytime soon!

This Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Deluxe hardcover truly is an art object, one of the nicest presentations I've ever seen. Sure, I own this material in several other formats, but can you ever have too many??? It's oversized, not quite as large as an Artist Edition, but larger than an Absolute. Gold leaf, custom printed carboard box, and a slipcover which has a replica Number One Dime inserted directly into the case! Plus a signed book plate. What a lovely book.

Yes, if it goes ahead. I love all the Bronze Age Horror vibe.

It was canceled previously.
