Gabby Kinney (Scout/Honey Badger) is a character I enjoy on the Marvel side but hasn't really broken through. However, it seems to be closer to 15-20 years before a character seems to make a jump in most cases. Often a catalyst is needed to push them through the humdrum of mediocre characters. Case in point -- and to answer my own question -- Squirrel Girl. She debuted in 1991, so barely past my "thirty years" criterion now, but it was the re-imaging by Slott and especially North/Henderson made her someone I want to see more of, at least in their hands. The competition for that piece, nearly two months ago, fell below the auction price - so I'm struggling to see how the new ask so soon after the original sale can be justified?
