Just upgraded my storage. I got tired of boxes everywhere.

What I get from that pic, other than awesomeness, is the reality of the height of your ceiling lol

I can stack 5 of those shelves, not the same ones, with nothing on the top shelf, and it's touching the ceiling almost haha.

A five minute quick and an 18 minute long video tour of my comic room.  Watch either/neither.  I don't know.  Whatever.

I watched the 18 minute video.  Awesome room.  You have some amazing stuff.  Hulk, Frankenstein and PCH, 3 of my favorites.

I watched the 5 minute one, I love the Alucard statue! I wanted to pick one up from sideshow for Christmas, but for my brother, he has that game beat quickly upon replay. I never tried, cause castlevania is kind of my Achilles heel, I've yet to beat it all, kind of like Double Dragon. Maybe once lol

Still I could watch him play and admire the skill@ to be young again, and those sideshow Alucard were a site to behold! ^^

This is amazing - you might have the most stuff crammed into the tightest space, in the most orderly fashion, then I've ever seen!  What type of track lighting is that on your case with the Hulk?

Thanks.  Its just a plain old multi color led strip kit you can find at menards.

Just remember that basements can flood.  Failure of a sump pump if you have one, leak through a wall, pipe or a toilet breaking, or unusual weather.  Never keep your best stuff near the floor.

I've spoken before in this thread about a de-humidifier (huge help in keeping the basement to 50% humidity and keeping it much warmer as well) But I wanted to chime in with another inexpensive layer of water safety:

If you have the ability to add a "water alarm" to your security system, that will be added peace of mind.

I have Apple TVs in the house and I use "Eve Home Kit" for cameras, motion, etc - they also have a water alarm that connects to an outlet (no batteries) in my utility room where - if the house were to flood - would be the lowest point water would begin to come in. The Eve Home Kit stuff is pretty inexpensive if you rock the Apple TV. I don't know if it works with other systems, but worth checking into because it is fairly cheap to add - even if you don't have a security system.

I caution against a battery-powered unit because, well, batteries die - and you don't always remember to give them a check.

YoLink makes some great products too, and very affordable. I use them for my home security, easy to setup (complicated to configure to your preferences, but you get 100% flexibility, review their online videos!!).

They have battery indication right in the app, and can send emails/texts if any alarm triggers. Pretty neat, and doesn't require WiFi (uses LoRa, which is significantly better range and lower power, i.e.: longer lasting batteries).

My system has been running for about 6 months and of my 12 devices/sensors, only 1 is less than 90% battery (most common entry sensor), the rest are above it and still show full battery.

Give it a look... I have not used the water monitor, but it's one of their flagship products. If I ever need to place my comics on my lower level of my house, the water sensor is a great idea and I will add it in to my system. You can have "just" a hub (required) and water alarm and later on add in other security products should you want to. It can get addicting adding on different sensors, just like comics!!

Wouldn't batteries be safer?  (Basement flooding)....I just need to check the water monitor, uh oh....zapppppp!

My brother recommended a strip with a remote that he got from Gamestop of all places, he's picking me up a set (they're on sale) later this week. He sent a video, looks painless, I'm not sure if I "need them" per se, but it's something I've long put off due to the frivolity of it lol

Now it seems I'm being blessed, so I'll try it!  :whee: @spreads I think they were priced at $25 at gamestop, and idk if that's cheap? Or going price, but available and convenient, also dont know if the "sale" is all stores lol

Just excited, was excited to hear my brother speak of collectable lights and things. He's usually to busy :)

I don’t have a specific room. But here is my storage setup in my basement. Not shown but just to the left of Iron Man is my heat press.  Also, shared a picture of my slabs that are on display in my theater room  F95A467F-0523-4842-9F09-68CAF60CFC56.thumb.jpeg.1b154e7ab54ed962a934da32e8fde11d.jpeg

Where did you get those shelves and how do you like them? They look very sturdy.

The shelves on the right were from Menards. They are great. I don’t think they carry that style anymore. The ones on the left are from Lowe’s and they are ok but nothing special.

I got home late or kinda, had laundry to do and watch the world series in the comic room, so I brought it in to finish and take pics of the lights. I don't feel like doing the different lights, but they're one button color change, and dimmers with several brightness. One button auto changes them or cycled through the colors too. :)

Believe it or not, never had a dimmer before, much less with a remote. I feel spoiled 😂

My brother bought me ,33 ft worth of atrix brand lights, I didn't use but one strip.

Quite a few things still in boxes   Collect pretty much everything but newsstands lol

So good! I'm always a little happy to see quality lighting even, my house is expertly dim compared to that lol Nice and orderly, plenty of room to peruse. Kudos!

In a room like that, I wouldn't even care if it were a little messy! haha :baiting: super clean though :)

Thank you!  I got the brightest LED bulbs I could find for the recessed lights (I think 1600 lumens each x 4). Also, you can’t really see in the pics but I replaced the ceiling fan in each room with a four bulb track lighting that I got at Walmart for like $30.00… those little spotlights make a big difference because they hit the shelves from the front.

This area is never messy… can’t speak for the rest of the house though (unfortunately) lol
