wait... you mean not everyone is sliding a crisp $20 in the centerfold of every book they submit?

That would assume they actually open the book

They would maybe find half of the "tips".

What’s the QC issue?

Oops,  I was just pissed  off and venting.

Wait a minute.  How about the quality of graders hired.  They didn't take care of the book submitted to them

The book may have been damaged during the signing....

Does anyone see Mike Grell on this book? That's because he's not on it

I've never done an SS before. Don't you say who signed it somewhere on the submission form?

I think he means: he subbed for a mike sig, it for labeled a mike sig, but in fact, it didn't actually ever get "signed by Mike!" As the signature is nowhere to be found...

It's fine to be angry but it is definitely the risk you take when you submit books to any grading company.

Also, it could be in the exact same condition and just get a different grade.

This is one thing we know about CGC.... just send a book in until it gets the grade you want.

Lastly... best JLA line-up ever.

Looks like the graders put their initials and estimated grades into the label notes.

Woah. That's kind of cool in a weird way. I would keep that as is.

Weird that one grader gave it two grades (2.5-3.0) instead of being decisive and putting a single grade.

Make up your mind! :sumo:

Only two graders, aren't there supposed to be three graders looking at every book?

Cheaper and more cost effective to have two.

There also used to be two pieces of micro-chamber paper encased with the books.

Last several dozed I've cracked (GA-SA books) there was only a single sheet, and on two books (valued at over 10k a piece) there was no micro-chamber paper at all.

CGC cutting corners all the while raising costs since the Blackstone purchase. :(

I like it! I wish all slabs had multiple grader estimates on them.

Not sure how I feel about having min. wage temporary employees' initials on my slabs.

Probably neat for them though...before they move on to more fitting jobs at Hardee's, or the local car wash.

I am pretty sure the new employees are grading the bulk moderns that cycle through. The ones that last get bumped up to older books that require more extensive checks, and I image the ones who are long enough for that to happen get paid more, with the lifers who make the most handling the walkthrough high value books. At least that is how I would do it.
